We invest only our own capital and have preferences for corporate turnaround, complex/poorly understood situations, repositioning of real estate assets (where we work closely with partners with at least 15 years of operating experience), and contrarian ideas.
We have secondary focus in the retail, health and wellness sectors and manage our own co-living assets.
Managing Director - NgeeKuan Teo
Mr. Teo spent a decade in Farallon Capital based out of Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore, where he led the firm's investments in China non-performing loans and credit. He maintained the firm's key relationships with C-level personnel at major banks, AMCs and property developers. Prior to Farallon, Mr. Teo held investing roles at Tudor Investment Corp and Ramius Capital, and investment banking & restructuring advisory roles at Goldman Sachs and UBS, in Singapore, Hong Kong and New York. Mr. Teo graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School and School of Engineering & Applied Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania with dual degrees in Finance and Mechanical Engineering and was the sole recipient of the Francis G. Tatnall Prize.
Associate Director - David Law
Mr. Law joined us in 2024 after having served as Goldpine's exclusive consultant since Oct 2023. Mr. Law was previously an Associate Director at SeaTown Holdings International focused on Internet and Consumer sectors. Mr. Law also brings experience from previous roles at Kamet Capital Partners, Asset Management One International Ltd., Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, Bank of China (Hong Kong) and HSBC. Mr. Law is a CFA holder and graduated with a BSc in Quantitative Finance from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
